Badrinath Dham is town of Chamoli District in Uttarakhand and famous for its religious importance and spirituality among Devotees. The town is situated at an elevation of 3,133 m (10,279 ft) above sea level. Badrinath Temple is a Hindu temple which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and the temple is said to be most valued among all Dhams of Uttarakhand. Badrinath Dham is situated at the bank of Alaknanda River and sometimes also known as Badrinarayan Temple. Due to very harsh weather in winters the temple open for 6 months only from April to October. Devotees worship Badrinarayan who is said to be lord Vishnu’s one of incarnations. Inside the temple there is Lord Vishnu Statue of 1 meter height and it is also believed to be brought from Naradkund. There is Nar Mountain in front of the temple and on the back side Neelkantha peek. Just below the temple there is a Kund which is called Tapt kund due to warm water throughout the year.
