How to reach Dhanaulti?


Dhanaulti is about 24 km away from Mussoorie (The Queen of Hills) and around 50 km away from Dehradun (The Capital of Uttarakhand). And if we talk about the distance from Delhi then it will roughly take 8-9 hours to reach you there. The Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest Airport and the nearest railway station is in Dehradun. You can reach there by Air, by Road or by Train also. After reaching Dehradun you will have to get a taxi or a private one. As the town is situated in an outer area so the personal car is more preferable. Or simply you can hire a taxi to Dhanaulti from Dehradun.

The climate of Dhanaulti:


Dhanaulti is a place with a very pleasant climate where you can visit any time of the year, but the best time to visit the town is considered from September to June. In summers the maximum temperature lies between 28°C to 32°. Winters of Dhanaulti are chilled and untouched snow can be seen here. Every year Snowfall is common during January and February. After a snowfall, you can see the places covered with a blanket of white shiny snow. The temperature during winters lies between 0°C-7°C, which is being considered as perfect climate for a snowfall.

During your visit to Dhanaulti keep warm clothes along with you as the nights are quite chilled here, which can make you shiver even if, it is a summer season. Swargarohini and Bandarpunch Himalayan ranges are clearly visible from Dhanaulti Hill Station.
